There are tons of activities you can partake in while in Bradenton, Florida. Once you have finished exploring the city itself, make sure to check out one of these destinations for a day trip outside of the city.
Sanibel Island is around a two-hour drive south from Sarasota, which allows you to have a relaxing day at a different beach a little farther from home. Sanibel Island is known for its seashell-covered beaches — the shells wash up intact from the gentle waters of the Gulf of Mexico. You can visit the 19th-century Sanibel Lighthouse, which is located on Lighthouse Beach, or you can go fishing at the pier. If you enjoy water sports, you can rent a Jet Ski, go snorkeling, try parasailing, or just go for a swim.
If you are into muscle cars, then you have likely heard of the Dodge Demon. It is the top-end version of the Dodge Challenger SRT, which is already a high-performance machine. While the Demon is relatively new, there is a lot of gossip and information going around about it. This can make it hard to find out exactly what you need to know about it if you’re interested. Even because of its name, people get the wrong idea about the 2017 Dodge Demon. To clear things up a little bit, here are three facts about the Dodge Demon that you may not know.
It Was Built For Drag Racing
When building a muscle car like the Demon, car manufacturers have to have a specific purpose in mind. Unlike other muscle cars that were designed for luxury or maybe for being modified for private racing circuits, the Dodge Demon was designed to be a legitimate drag racer. It is one of the first factory-built drag racers that can go from the factory to the track without being modified. It is even equipped with the tires needed for drag racing. In nearly every way, the Demon was built to outperform other cars on the track.
If you drive in Florida, you know how hot your car can become underneath the blazing Florida sun. The hot temperature can damage your exterior’s paint job and overheat the plastic-based components of your car’s interior. Here are some tips you can use to keep your car cool in the Florida sun, as well as keep passengers comfortable when it’s hot.
Park in the Shade
Whenever possible, park in the shade to keep your car cool and protected from the sun. Even if you have to park across the parking lot to park under trees, it is worth the short walk to have the benefit of the shade. If there is a parking garage available, it is better to park in the garage over a surface lot.

Autobytel praises the Limited and Latitude trims for their impressive feature packages. While all Renegade trims can hit the trail, the Trailhawk has the benefit of a suspension lift, skid plates, and tow hooks.
When you think of Florida, you likely picture the state’s beautiful white sand beaches. Bradenton residents and visitors have access to some of the most amazing coastline in the United States. These are the four best beaches to visit in and around the city.
According to an article in the Orlando Sentinel, Siesta Beach was named as the nation’s best beach by the “Beach Doctor,” a professor at Florida International University who specializes in studying and ranking beaches around the world. Dr. Leatherman cites the fine, sparkling white sand at Siesta, which is primarily made of crushed quartz. You’ll find gorgeous turquoise water, plenty of room to stretch out on your beach blanket, parking, and a two-story pavilion for guests that offers a snack bar and restrooms. Siesta Beach is located just south of Sarasota on the Gulf of Mexico. Its shallow water and gentle waves make it a good destination for families. When you’re ready to get out of the sun, take advantage of the free shuttle service to Sarasota’s charming downtown.
Full-size, mid-size, compact, and sports car are all terms that could arguably describe the Dodge Dart over the years. Manufactured from 1960 to 1976 and again from 2013 to 2016, the Dart has been through a variety of changes, upgrades, rehashes, and total overhauls, making it one of the strangest and yet most intriguing American cars ever devised.
The Origins of the Dart
The Dodge Dart wasn’t born from inspiration. It was created out of necessity. In 1960, Dodge looked to meet a market need by developing a low-cost, full-size sedan. To make it more affordable, Dodge cut down on some of the style and extras compared to other models, as well as replacing the 5.9-liter V-8 with a 3.7-liter slant-six engine.
The plan worked to perfection. In its debut year, the Dart saw impressive sales, putting the company into stiff competition with entry-level offerings from other American automakers. Despite three trim levels, 87 percent of the sales were the basic trim, showing that Dodge had indeed tapped into the budget market. In 1961, the Dart shrank slightly, but it remained a full-size option.
Trips to the beach are always a fun time for the entire family. Not only can you grab some time outdoors, but everyone can do the activity they want. Whether you love laying out for a volleyball dig, suntanning, or taking a dip in the ocean, the beach has your back. The only problem is when you have to pile back into the car for your trip home and you find an unwanted guest: sand. If you hate cleaning sand every time you go to the beach, here are a few tips to keep the sand out.
Shake, Shake, Shake It Off
Before you get into your vehicle, vigorously shake any garment, towel, or other object to remove any grains of sand. You should also massage your scalp to remove any sand, or if you don’t mind getting wet, do it in the water.
Bring Some Garbage Bags
Plastic garbage bags are a godsend when you’re on the beach because you can hold the messiest, sandiest items. Put your wet, sandy beach towel, beach chair, or your swimsuit in these bags to prevent an onslaught of sand in your car. If you don’t have a place to change out of your swimsuit, you can use the garbage bags to line the seats, keeping sand in one place and preventing moisture from absorbing into the upholstery.
A plastic bag is also ideal for lining the trunk of your car. Just cut a bag open, place it in your trunk, and when you get home, gather it up for quick disposal.
